What if it’s in their brain?

My friend Josh Von Gunten sent me this link about the teen brain, the frontal lobes and the white matter in the brain. It’s a good article about some of the developments in a teen’s brain that impact their decision-making process. basically, the white matter (myelin) is like wire insulation and teens don’t have as much as adults so their neurons don’t make all the connections yet. It gives some good insight about why they do what they do and sometimes really don’t understand why. It’s a short article so give it a few minutes of your time!

Thanks Josh!

If you run across something that would be good for youth, youth workers or parents, send me the link and I’ll get it added!
